Begging you to set us free
Free from this hellhole

Animal testing has been going on for years. It has been going on for years, and with no law against it. Animal testing, which at times ends up with the mass killing of animals, is legal. Completely, and utterly legal.

Though laws have been set to ensure the animals feel no pain, not all labs follow these laws. Sometimes, labs will even go as far as to open up an animal without using anything at all to numb the pain the animal is sure to be feeling. In other words, they give the animal surgery while they are AWAKE, and without ANY painkillers. How much sicker can you get?

So, how do you solve the problem? Simple, you get rid of it all together. There are other options in this modern day, options that will produce the same effects. If you are against inhumane animal testing as well, *put this in your DA journal. (Use :thumb83120002: )

Comments and :+fav:s are much appreciated.

If it's medical I'm okay with it, but if it's some retarded shit like a genetic experiment then no, do that shit on someone else.

I totally agree with this. Why? Because it's sad a lot of people are buying conventional consumer products that hide the fact that they test on animals. It's really sick; and once tested on animals, it also means those products harm both human health and the environment. It's best that all of us make the switch to environmentally-friendly products that do little to no harm on human health and also are certified to not be animal-tested.

Animal testing involving makeup? Blame the legal system and the retards who thought eating the stuff was a good idea. The reason why they test it is because of law suits from idiots or the families of the idiots who drank or injected medicine.

Animal testing involving medicine? Should keep going. What? Do you believe a few animal lives are worth more than lives of thousands, millions or even billions of humans? Would you prefer humans being tested? Because that's what Hitler did to the Jews.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

Without animal testing, modern medicine would still be in the dark ages.
Think of a life-saving procedure or technology. Animal testing was probably involved.

You take the bad with the good.
While I don't condone animal testing for cosmetics, if we never tested on animals, there would be a lot more diseases and medical conditions we'd still be dropping dead from, left and right.

Also, for the guys disagreeing down here.
Did you know animal testing can also test for cures in animals?
Thats right. Animal diseases, rabies, etc etc.
Please.
Think about that for a second.
Really hard.
Although i support animal testing untill the makeup and cosmetics thing. Anyone can handle a lipstick on an open wound in the lips with anesthetics.

Well, animal testing made nearly all aspects of modern medicine possible. People will still be dying of diseases that were made extinct a century ago, and from things as preventable as poor pre-natal care. Everything from painkillers to open-heart surgery and blood transfusions were made possible because of animal testing.

Many years ago, I took a trip to Louisiana. The cemeteries look like poignant little cities, because they have to bury everyone above ground, due to Louisiana being below sea level.  Something I saw there chilled me to the bone. I saw many family plots where everyone in the entire family died days apart, including the children, some just months old themselves, because of the great Yellow Fever epidemic. That kind of thing would still be prevalent in this country, if not for those vaccines that animal testing gave us.

I really don't like the concept of animal testing and I have mixed feelings about this. I can only hope in future generations they find a better, more humane way of testing without the cost of ANY life, be it animal or human.

Yes, we should always treat animals humanely and with kindness and respect WHEN WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO SO. Sometimes, you need to do animal testing to save human lives, and you might call me heartless to animals, but I would much rather sacrifice the lives of lab rats who have no constitutional rights or privileges than put human lives at risk or exploit the desperation of the poor who need money to survive and are willing to do anything to get it. We wouldn't have well over half of all medical and surgical research advancements that humanity has made over hundreds of years without animal testing. Besides, animal testing doesn't just help humans; how did scientists learn how to treat and safely remove the tumours from your cat?

If we tested on humans, at least they would know what was going on. When we test on animals, they don't have a clue why we're doing it. All THEY know is agony.

You do realize how old this comment is? Oh well. I'll humour you and your childish emotional manipulation just for ONE comment.

Regardless of what idiotic animal rights websites you may visit say, scientists do not just snatch random animals off the street to test on and there are a number of regulations that they have to follow when it comes to the use of non-human animals in scientific experimentation.

They usually test on lab mice because mice and humans share over 95% of working DNA. Those mice are born and raised in those cages. Trust me when I tell you that it would cause much more harm than good for them to run around "free in the wild".

So I don't see any possible reason to experiment on little husky puppies for human purposes. Hell, the people who actually DO experiment on dogs and cats for human purposes probably aren't even legitimate scientists and are going against many animal welfare laws. How about you go after them instead?

Or better yet put your money where your mouth is and volunteer to become a test subject? THEN you should understand why we test on mice instead of human beings.

I'd rather have myself tested on. And yes, I was aware that they don't "snatch random animals off the street". I knew about the human-mouse DNA thing. Then on the text after that, I realised I agreed with you.

...But I still disagree with testing on mice anyway. They STILL don't know what's going on.

(old comment is old but oh well)

Testing on mice is honestly the most humane what. Contrary to popular belief, scientists don't just cut open a mouse and let it sit with it's wound open spraying blood everywhere; that's really unsanitary. The most they. really do is put a surgical implant in them (like a 3d printed bone/organ). My mother was a computational chemist who knows some people who work in a lab and test on mice. most of the testing is honestly just occasionally injecting them with something minor and then seeing what happens; also breeding and cloning without or with extra of a certain receptor in the mouse's brain. The lab people actually created a "super rat" that wasn't afraid of anything. they said it actually hopped off the table and scurried around fearlessly!

some medications and other things have different effects on animals then on humans, no reason to test on animal things that are to be used on humans

Why the hell do you have to use animals?
Because humans are too "Special?"
Fuck them.
Risk the lives of humans, the most overpopulated animals on the planet, than a poor animal that have to feel the pain of knifes for "SCIENCE."
We don't need any more humans, people.
Stop cutting, toasting, or killing animals for human education.
It's fucking lame.
If this is what humans are,
I don't want to live on this freaking planet anymore.

Your comment makes me want to throw up. What so you think that the highly educated, brilliant scientists with tons of degrees in veterinary medicine are just going to walk into work one day and think "hey, let's just pointlessly cut open kittens and puppies and let them bleed everywhere and ruin the sterile environment and then inject them with gasoline because it's fun and animals are stupid!"? How many propaganda websites have you read? Animals are much safer to use than humans because A) you can control the genes a little easier, B) animals are easier to work with and C) Testing on humans has been considered unethical. and let me guess, you've seen the images like this: iron.lmc.gatech.edu/~ntrivedi6… and it leads to an "anti animal testing site"? No, that's the result of dog fighting, which is a truly pointless and cruel sport that's illegal. Tell me, have you gotten your vaccine recently? influenza? small pox? chicken pox? how about your rabies vaccine? well guess what; they were all tested on animals. Also for your information, humans arn't overpopulated; you could stand every human on earth shoulder to shoulder in the area of Los Angolas.

Of course I don't think scientists would go up and say "Hey, let's go murder some animals because it's Fun!" I just think animal testing is cruel and heartless. Besides, aren't there registered rapists, murderers, pedophiles sitting there in jail doing Absolutely Nothing? If anything, they are the ones who deserve to be tested on. I live in rural Missouri, of course I don't get shots. The closest Hospital is about 80 miles away. Humans ARE overpopulated. In fact, there are exactly 7,234,619,090 humans on this planet this very second, which pretty much can top almost any animal population except for probably insects, which, for the most part, are incredibly helpful for the environment.
Dog fighting is also horrible, but it doesn't make capturing animals OKAY, now does it?

Firstly, even though there are rapists and murders, it doesn't mean that you can just do whatever you want with them. as i said, it's considered inhumane to test on humans, except if they've died and donated their bodies to science. Also, even if you live in rural Missouri, you're not the only one getting shots; when the whole "vaccine cause autism" thing was going around (which was actually "based" on a paper full of completely made up numbers and statistics), millions of people across Europe got measles, and millions died. The vaccine they used to counter the outbreak was tested on animals successfully. Second, humans aren't overpopulated (even thought there's a big number) because we're so wide spread. Think about it; humans live on every continent except Antarctica while a lot of animals only live on one or two. Also aside from construction and urbanization, humans don't ruin food chains; as in go in and wipe out animals and plants due to consumption. Such as how i live in the middle of suburban-rural Georgia in a nice little town, and the food chain lives on. Also, i don't think you know what the true meaning of "overpopulation" is. According to Wikipedia, Your Dictionary, Dictonary.com, and The Free Dictionary.com, overpopulation refers to an excessive amount of an individuals that deplete the natural resources to a point of habitual destruction. Humans don't destroy ecosystems everywhere. Even in big cities animals still live by our sides, and cities actually have a certain kind of ecosystem, although small. Yes there places like Mexico City and Beijing were the population drastically increases everyday and the pollution is horrible there, but those are just itty bitty places compared to the entire planet. Overpopulation of the planet would mean that literally every environment on the globe would be collapsing, not just "oh, the trees in this small forest are being cut down!" or "that pond is getting drained", everywhere; everything dying. Third, Not all insects are beneficial to the environment. In 5 to 10 years, all the hickory trees in north Georgia and lower North Carolina will be completely wiped out by a kind of aphid. Mosquitoes are a vector for disease to all animals and spread rabies which is a problem for the critically endangered Ethiopian wolf, millions of locusts devour countless acres of vital desert plants. Now i know that there are good insects too; without honey bees we wouldn't have almost any fruits, and insects a vital niche in the food chain. Lastly, labs don't go out and pick animals off the street and they certainly don't pick them up out of the wild. all the animals in labs were born in the lab and will die in the lab; no questions asked. They were born used to cage life; it's how they grew up. they don't know what the outside is, and honestly they see the lab as their home; it's where they get food and water, it's were they sleep. so don't just go off and tell me that they go around picking up stray dogs and cats and other animals.
